Family Dance Classes

This intergenerational dance class is an introduction to Afro-Peruvian culture. Participants will be introduced to Afro-Peruvian instruments that will be part of this class with live music, and learn a dance routine for the Festejo-- the most popular Afro-Peruvian rhythm, danced in any type of celebration due to its festive nature.

Family Show or School Assembly

This interactive show for all ages is a journey through Afro-Peruvian rhythms. The audience will actively participate and live the experience of entering a part of Afro-Peruvian culture. They will hear instruments, their history, and will have a chance to play them. Audiences will see dances such as the Zamacueca, Zapateo, and Festejo,  learn dance movements, concepts, and how to use props such as the handkerchiefs used for Zamacueca.
